Today, it hardly takes a decade before electronics and information systems become irrelevant to the market needs. Thus, the design of the proposed information management system (IMS) has flexibility as its primary feature.
The objective of flexibility is to enhance its adaptability to emerging trends in the industry. As a result, it saves the company millions of dollars required in systems upgrades or overhauls to meet future demands.
The proposed IMS appreciates the innovative culture of the company and aligns its design with the company’s future operations realignment as a response to the dynamic environment. The IMS seeks to solve the current problem and give the company a vantage position for the future. The implementation strategy appreciates the future changes in products and adaptability to meet emerging trends.
One of the company’s proposed change is the restructuring of its operations to align with today’s environment. Currently, the existing structure is inefficient, resulting in poor performance among employees. Moreover, it lowers the production rates of the company, which adversely impacts its revenues and ability to meet customer needs. In 2019, the company failed to meet some of its supplies to clients due to structural inefficiencies.

Our company’s strength lies in its distribution network that cuts across the country to Europe.
The strong relationship with partners gives it an edge over other competitors with better finances. It is one of the areas that the company has to continue building as it aims at implementing the 2025 strategic plan. The restricting process will help the company to create a system that enhances communication with clients, enabling the company to respond to their needs a fast as possible. The cordial company-customer relationship is a competing edge that the company has to improve as it seeks to restructure its operations.
Further, production realignment in the next few years is a change that the organization has to embrace to remain competitive in the market. Tubeless insulin pumps are sensitive products that require a high level of precision.
The industry is moving towards robotics and AI in the manufacturing process, and our company is no exception. It is the right time for the management to realign the production process with emerging best practices in the industry. Thus, a partial implementation of robotics and the use of Artificial Intelligence in the production chain is part of the initiatives to improve efficiency as captured in the firm’s strategic plan.
The introduction of robots and AI machines help the company remain competitive by reducing the cost of production while increasing the output. Today, labor is one of the highest recurrent expenditures that the company incurs every financial year. Notably, the cost of labor is on the upward trajectory since 2010(Duffin, 2020). The only solution to reduce the production cost is by reducing the number of employees that work in the company.
Robots and AI machines will help the company reduce the cost of production by cutting down the number of employees. Subsequently, the company manages to retain competitive prices for its products in the market.
Moreover, the organization’s 2025 strategic plan seeks to expand its research and development program by incorporating feedback from clients across the globe. The proposed approach is unique since it makes the company’s innovation platform driven by data from consumers. It will endear the company to the consumers’ heart by producing innovative products that meet their specific needs.
The diversity of the customer base means the company has to differentiate its products to meet their cultural values without compromising quality. Ultimately, the consumers have to identify with the product and embrace it for the company to win their loyalty. Innovation centered on data from our consumers helps in ensuring the end product meets their expectation and respect their beliefs and values.
Health is personal, and the company’s goal is to ensure its customers do not have to make tough choices between using its product or respecting their cultural values.
The proposed information management system aligns with the possible restructuring of the company’s operations. It has a centralized communication system connected to the sub-units within the organization to enable efficient sharing of information and response to an emergency. Currently, the company has a supply network that covers the entire country and some European markets.
However, the absence of an effective information sharing system between the company’s head office and its satellite offices hinders efficiency in its operations. Each market has unique needs that the company has to meet to remain competitive, thus the need for an effective information sharing system.
The proposed project bridge the existing systemic gap by creating a centralized information-sharing network for the company and its subsidiaries across the country and Europe.
The current system cannot support an enormous change in the manufacturing process. The solution to the impediment in the imminent changes lies with the proposed information management system. It adopts a holistic approach that enables management to assess the production process remotely in their offices.
The use of robots and AI in the manufacturing process requires huge data and analysis by the machines to improve their accuracy (Thomas, Cheok, & David, 2020). The proposed IMS comes with data analytic tools that enable the production manager to analyze the performance of every machine in the chain.
IMS is the tool that the company needs as it plans to implement its 2025 strategic plan in enhances efficiency in manufacturing and operations.
Additionally, the proposed IMS enables the company to have collected and analyzed consumer data to facilitate its consumer-based innovation contained in the 2025 strategic plan document. One of the advantages of the proposed information management system is that it allows the Research and Development Department to create an internal data collection pool from various units.
For instance, the sales and marketing department can help the research and development team by providing it with customer feedback. Notably, the proposed IMS makes it possible for the team to get data from different departments and partners in various geographical locations. In other words, it supports the consumer-based innovation process without the company incurring additional expenses in market surveys.
The future of the company’s flawless operations depends on the ability to create an information management system that integrates various sub-units into one functional body. The proposed changes in the IT systems have to align with the firm’s 2025 strategic plan that seeks to realign its operation structure to increase profitability.
Restructuring of the operations and consumer-based innovations captured in the plan must be part of the company’s IT systems to facilitate cohesion and coordination between different departments. For instance, the research and development department requires consumer data from the sales and marketing team. The proposed IMS enables data interoperability between departments in the company. IMS is at the core of the company’s desire to lower its operating cost while enhancing data-oriented innovation and management decisions.
